JCI World Congress: a milestone for Messe Zürich.

The year is drawing to a close with excellent news for Messe Zürich. It has been chosen as a venue for the World Congress of Junior Chamber International (JCI). From 14 to 18 November 2023, 3,500 delegates will be coming to this city on the Limmat to discuss social development opportunities.

Messe Zürich JCI

As a globally active organisation, JCI boasts an illustrious membership with personalities that have included John F. Kennedy, Jacques Chirac and Bill Clinton. Active in more than 100 countries on all five continents, JCI has 6,000 chambers with some 200,000 members. The latter are young people united by a common goal – the desire to assume responsibility and make a difference. The idea behind JCI is that positive changes can only be set in motion by governments to a limited extent. Members thus take matters into their own hands, launching local, national and international initiatives which they discuss and plan at their annual congress.

“We are delighted that Messe Zürich has been chosen as the venue for the 2023 meeting”, says Jonas Scharf, Head of MCH Venues. “This is the very first major congress that we have been able to welcome on these premises. And we will naturally be doing our utmost to offer the congress attendees a wonderful stay.” Co-hosts alongside Messe Zürich are JCI Schweiz and Zurich Tourism. They are all eagerly awaiting the day when they can finally welcome participants to their meeting destination.
