Messe Zürich: A review

Messe Zürich is once again positioning as a diverse venue for innovation, exchange and culture in 2025. In the first half of the year, the popular industry platforms Giardina, HR Festival Europe and ARCHITECT@WORK once again attracted a broad audience, while the music and club format Insomnia Dance Festival was also a success. In addition to representing current industry highlights, these exemplary formats place great emphasis on developing sustainable ideas for the future.

Giardina

In mid-March, Giardina 2025 inspired around 57,000 visitors with visionary ideas about gardens, design and nature. Across 25,000 m², 250 exhibitors showed how sustainable concepts, biodiversity and innovative materials are shaping the green living spaces of tomorrow. The trade fair once again underlined that garden design is more than just aesthetics – it shapes our environment in harmony with nature.

HR Festival Europe

Like Giardina, the HR Festival Europe also reflected the opportunities for shaping the industry: with over 170 exhibitors, top-class keynotes and practical workshops, this year’s edition on March 25 and 26 created a hotspot for all those who want to actively prepare the world of work for the future. Topics such as new work, corporate health and the use of AI in HR hit the nerve of the times. The festival was rounded off by innovative networking formats such as “BREAK THE NORM”, which redefined relevant topics such as exchange and inspiration.

ARCHITECT@WORK

On May 7 and 8, 2025, Messe Zürich became a creative ideas space for the world of architecture and design. The focus of ARCHITECT@WORK Zurich was on innovative products, new materials and sustainable concepts. A curated supporting program with specialist lectures was dedicated to the central theme of “Transformation”. The event once again provided a meeting place for architects, planners and designers who combine future-oriented building and thinking.

Insomnia Dance Festival

Messe Zürich is not only home to pioneering design and professional ideas – the future of the music world is also at home here: at Easter, the second edition of the Insomnia Dance Festival at Messe Zürich brought together over 15,000 partygoers on three floors. Top international DJs and creative lighting and stage technology transformed the exhibition halls into a vibrant venue for night owls. The festival makes a valuable contribution to cultural diversity and the use of urban infrastructures. With a versatile trade fair infrastructure, Zurich offers much more than just a stage for a daytime program – it can shape and enrich night-time culture.

Zürich as a multifaceted event venue

These four events impressively demonstrate how multifaceted and lively Messe Zürich is as an event venue. As formats, they are exemplary of the range of forward-looking topics, target groups and experiences that can be accommodated here. Centrally located and optimally integrated into the city’s infrastructure, Messe Zürich’s flexible premises and professional event services contribute significantly to the popularity of Zurich as a trade fair and event city.

Messe Zürich will be taking a summer break and getting ready for exciting events in the second half of the year.
