Social sustainability

We at Messe Zürich take our social responsibility seriously. This relates both to our employees, for whom we want to be a reliable and fair employer, and to our customers, who can rely on our adherence to the statutory regulations and to our application of serious business practices.

Accessibility

The Messe and Congress Center Basel are fully accessible. We have recorded the accessibility of all our rooms and access routes with OK:GO. This takes in estimates of the available space right through to the width of the doors. OK:GO supports Switzerland’s tourism industry in addressing the travel requirements of people with disabilities, senior citizens and families with small children in an appropriate and targeted manner. The accessibility information is designed to make travelling easier for people with mobility impairments and to ensure that everyone is able to plan their trip independently. You will find the information here:

Employment

It goes without saying that we offer our employees attractive working conditions. We also attach great importance not only to making demands on our employees but also to promoting their development. They thus have the opportunity to attend in-house and external training courses at any time. Code of Conduct

All companies are confronted with controversial topics such as competition and antitrust law, insider information and data protection. We have drawn up a Code of Conduct by way of guidance for our employees. This sets out the correct form of behaviour toward customers and colleagues.

Fighting corruption

We want to protect our employees against the effects of corruption. This is why all our employment contracts since 1992 have contained an anti-corruption clause. Over and above this, clear principles are applied for the admission of exhibitors to our events; these are set out in the corresponding MCH Regulations.

The events staged in our halls generate an economic benefit not only for us ourselves but also for a large number of suppliers. We are aware of this and always adopt a prudent approach to economic matters.
